Description:	As is the case in similar fields, esports events have a lot of numbers to evaluate their success by. Individually, these usually don’t mean much of anything. It is only by combining them, that a clear picture of an event’s success emerges. And yet, each time one of these metics gets surpassed, it is celebrated as a new esports record. Most viewed event.. because of hours! Most viewed event.. at its peak! Bigger than the Super Bowl! Why aren’t we at the Olympics?! It’s all marketing, of course. While this may help the industry in the short term, one wonders if it doesn’t fuel the fear of an esports bubble as well. Anyway, with Worlds 2019’s latest records lying in the peak viewership sphere, I did an article for Esportz Network on that. You can find it here. Last weekend DreamHack came to Rotterdam. It was quite a fun event and I’ve taken the liberty of writing multiple somethings about it here and here. I attended the Smash part of proceedings as well, more about that is coming later. February 5, 2015 : Directory redesigned and restarted. Database was cleaned up and from now on all approved listings will be double checked.

The directory has around 150 visitors per day (workdays).
Every month there are around 5000 submissions from which 500 are approved.
We do not approve poor quality websites, as a result all approved listings have good neighbors, relevant topics.
